I am an attorney, activist, mom, daughter and friend. I currently lend support to various social justice movements and campaigns. I started this podcast because I love learning about the law. Sometimes the law and legal topics can be intimidating. My goal with this podcast is to break down barriers. Introduce a new audience to legal issues that impact our every day lives.

There aren’t many podcasts that center the voice/experience of women of color and how current legal issues impact them. Messaging shapes the way we see ourselves. The news tells us that our experience is secondary. Ancillary to the white male’s story. Not here.
The podcast aims to explain the law for those that want to go beyond headlines and tweets. The law can be intimidating, but it doesn't have to be. The more we know, the more we can equip ourselves to fight the good fight. We are committed to Raising the Bar for all listeners. Providing listeners with a space to SEE THEMSELVES in the news and equipping them to Raise the Bar for themselves and their community.
